The victory marks the second time this week that the Garnet have rallied from a 1-0 deficit for the win, with Morgan Langley scoring the equalizer in each match.

Winning on the road in the Centennial Conference is never easy, as the Garnet found out the hard way early on against the Bears (2-8-1,  0-5).  In the 23rd minute, Ursinus' Andrew Machalik beat Swarthmore sophomore goalkeeper David D'Annunzio with a shot from the left wing, giving the Bears a surprising 1-0 lead.

But less than 10 minutes later, Morgan Langley, had the answer for the Garnet once again. He scored his team-and-conference-leading 12th goal of the season off a through-ball from Rose, getting the crucial equalizer to set the visitors straight.

Rose gave Swarthmore the lead for good in the 56th minute.  After a foul 25 yards out from the Ursinus goal, Rose stepped up and hit one of his patented free kicks, low and hard into the left corner of the net.  He beat Ursinus goalkeeper Mike Alfieri - who was excellent between the pipes with 11 saves - giving the Garnet a 2-1 lead; a score that would last for the remainder of the match.

In goal for the Garnet, D'Annunzio made one save for the victory, his seventh overall, and fourth in the Centennial Conference this season.

Despite the early deficit, the Garnet controlled the tempo for most of the game, owning an 18-4 advantage in shots and 13-2 edge in shots on goal.

The Garnet's longest road trip of the season occurs when the team travels to Maryland to take on St. Mary's College this Tuesday.  Action is slated to begin at 4:00 p.m.
