Evelina; or, a young lady's entrance into the world

This topographical visualization suggests new mappings of the relationship between a novel’s representation of its audience and its genre(s). These two categories sometimes seem to starkly define and divide the novels of 1778, but depicting their influence topographically allows us to imagine ambiguity and shadings in the gender-genre relationship.
