		<description>I really liked this article because, as you point out, it&#039;s common knowledge that men and women have different voice pitches. Yet, like you, I had never thought about it in a sexual selection context. 

The article attributes men&#039;s deep voices as being partly caused by intra-sexual selection-- I wonder, could the same be said about women&#039;s higher pitched voices? My first guess might be that men preferred women&#039;s higher pitched voices because they are associated with youth (and therefore fertility). This would imply that they evolved because of inter- and not intra-sexual selection. But most men nowadays (at least according to Max) don&#039;t seem to prefer high pitched voices in women. I wonder, what this will mean for the evolution of women&#039;s voice pitch?</description>
