<p class="normal">Mon père, l'Algérien, le maître d'école ne m'a pas appris la langue de son peuple. Il ne m'a pas parlé la langue de sa terre, de sa mère. Il s'est tenu loin dans le silence. De son roman familial algérien, je n'ai rien su. Mon père est mort. Après toutes ces années d'exil, d'histoires racontées, écrites pour découvrir, comprendre ce qui n'a pas été dit, c'est par les femmes et les hommes de son peuple, qui parlaient sa langue, que je tente d'approcher mon père, l'étranger bien-aimé.</p>
<p class="normal">Un travail de mémoire qui s'est imposé à moi, vital.</p>
