<p class="normal">Mieux connaître l’Algérie et son histoire pour mieux la comprendre, tel est l’objectif de cet ouvrage signé Leïla Sebbar, née dans ce pays, d'un père algérien et d'une mère française. Un livre autobiographique, parsemé de nombreux souvenirs. Le départ du pays natal, en 1962, suscite chez cette petite fille crainte et espoirs. Entre documentaire et fiction, un ouvrage qui aborde les problèmes de la guerre d’Algérie, la décolonisation, mais aussi et surtout la nostalgie du pays natal.</p>
